The CC mintmark on a 1878 trade dollar will give a value of 500$ to 2000$, depending upon condition. Check carefully to see if the mintmark is removed as 1878-S trade dollars have been passed as 1878. The S mintmark has a value of 80-175$, which depends also on the condition. Recent counterfeits have also flooded the markets.

Depending on the condition and grade of the coin, as well as the mint mark on it, it could be worth anywhere from $80-$2000. be sure to get it professional graded/appraised before selling!

The value of any trade dollar will depend on many factors including age and condition. Most trade dollars usually sell for at least $100 but some sell for less depending on the condition and how common they are. It is best to have any trade dollar analyzed by a numismatist at your local coin store.

Depends on many factors like the condition it's in and what state you live in. If you take it to someone who deals specifically with these things, you'll get a much better idea. I can tell you that a 1878 trade dollar is worth a fair bit. Take it in and see!
