What is the origins of going on a honeymoon?

I know that there is a lot of history behind our wedding traditions but do not understand this one.

"Honeymoon' was Babylonian tradition where father of the bride gave the groom alot of wine he could drink for the first "moon" of marriage, meant to boost the couples fertility.

It originated from Indian culture. The idea then came to Great Britain. In Great Britain, during the 19th century, a newly wed couple would go on a trip. They would often invite those who could not come to the wedding.

In northern Europe, the bride was kidnapped and kept in hiding by her fiance before the wedding. When everyone gave up the search for the bride, she was returned.
