Doing a cycle of different exercises is the best workout. Doing the bicycle exercise is a good start followed by leg raises. Then do exercise ball crunch and vertical leg crunch. Long arm crunches and reverse crunches and full vertical crunches are good follow ups. Finishing the workout with ab roller and then plank exercise is a great finish.

You need to do a lot of situps and a lot of crunches, that will flatten that belly in a hurry if you do several reps twice a day, legs lifts work great to.

The most effective ab workout is heavy deadlifts because nothing else works the core ab muscles as much. For an exercise that targets only the abs, do weighted incline sit-ups.

Doing simple situps is honestly, the most effective ab workout. Doing ab crunches is also effective, as is doing the ab flexor.
