What is the medicine risperdal used for?

My doctor prescribed this medicine along with some others and I am not sure what this one is for.

Risperdal, is prescribed by doctors for several different indications, usually, mental health issues. It has been used in the treatment of children and adolescents, who have difficulty with irritability problems stemming from autism, as well as adults who may be bipolar. Always talk to your doctor about your prescriptions.

Resperdal is durg which use for the treatment of schisophrenia in adult and adolescents about the age of 13 - 17 year old pt with some other medicine like valproate and lithium for short term reatment of bipolar mania. side effects are increased appetite, fatigue, rhinitis, urti, vomiting,increase salivation, constipattion.

This is an anti-psychotic drug. You would take this drug if you are Autistic, bipolar, have dementia related behavior or a schizophrenic. This drug helps you function with a clear mind. It also helps restore balance in your brain so that you can live a normal day to day life.

This is an anti-psychotic commonly used to treat Bi-polar(or manic depression) disorder. Although this primarily treats bi-polar disorder, it can also be used to treat Schizophrenia, Dementia, and irritability due to autism. It affects the dopamine (a neurotransmitter) levels in your brain which calms and creates a more balanced mood.

Risperdal is treatment given for schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and irritability due to autism. It is also called as atypical antipsychotic treatment. It is maily concentrated mostly on childrens and not adults.
