This varies greatly between patients largely depending on the type and placement of cancer as well as how advanced or widespread the cancer is. Typically, brain cancer patients who have non-operable tumors are given about a 1 year life expectancy. This is due to the fragility of the brain and proximity of vital structures necessary to sustain life.

Life expectancy varies in EVERY cancer patient, death can not be time-tabled. Indeed, I need to know at a minimum what kind of cancer you are referring to . You cannot compare one kind of cancer with another it just doesn't work that way as they all have their own behaviors.
