Hello, the word in latin is : sex ( cardinal number ) , sextus (ordinal number ) ,sexies ( adverbial) - and it's written VI , that means V = five , and I = one. The most common word with six in Rome could be "Sextarius" - it's glass of wine of half a litre. and... Rome was build on seven hills. Ciao

The Latin word for six is in fact sex. That's not to be confused with the other kind, of course!
