This type of offense relies heavily on have a mobile quarterback who is able to run the football. There are the same number of offensive players lined up on the left and right. This balance, or double wing, allows the quarterback or runningback to run a play in either direction and does not give any hits to the defense.

A double wing offensive formation is when your wide outs tighten up. Their inside foot lines up directly behind the outside foot of the tight end.
