This type of offense relies heavily on have a mobile quarterback who is able to run the football. There are the same number of offensive players lined up on the left and right. This balance, or double wing, allows the quarterback or runningback to run a play in either direction and does not give any hits to the defense.

The double wing offense is a passing formation that conisists of having two wide receivers on the same side of the formation. It could also be known as a twin set if there are only 2 receivers in the formation. Some teams like to run the football in this formation to try and keep the defense honest.

A double wing offensive formation is when your wide outs tighten up. Their inside foot lines up directly behind the outside foot of the tight end.
