SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) use more power than DRAM. SRAM store information, while being still known as volatile (no power and the information is lost) DRAM (Dynamic random access memory) is cheaper than SRAM, but dynamic means it needs to have information rewritten over and over.

SRAM(Static Random Access Memory) needs 6 transistors per bit, but can store information indefinitely, while DRAM(Dynamic Access Memory) is more structurally simple, needing only one transistor and a capacitor per bit, making it more compressed. Its disadvantage is the fact it only holds memory for a few seconds, and it is therefore constantly rewritten. Hence 'dynamic'.
