What is the difference between regular mustard and Dijon mustard?

Regular mustard is called Yellow Mustard. It's the kind you find at most restaurants. Dijon mustard is usually more expensive and comes in fancy jars. The main differences are the taste and color of Dijon. Dijon mustard is a darker yellow/brown color and it is a bit more spicy because horseradish is added.

Dijon mustard is spicier in taste than regular mustard. Regular mustard is what you think of when someone adds mustard to a hot dog. That is not Dijon mustard.
