What is the difference between FLV and SWF?ff

SWF (Shockwave Flash) is used for animation and interactivity on the web. FLV (Flash Video) is just used to display videos on the web without any interactivity at all. Though both files can be made with Adobe flash, but if you want animation you must use SWF.

These are two different types of video made for the internet and are compatible with the Adobe Flash Player. Both are smaller format video formats that work well on the internet without taking up to much bandwidth. Plus having a standard format that plays with the standard player embedded in most computers is important to making internet video useful.
