A dwarf is a medical condition where a person has disproportionate body part and can result in medical problems such as joint diseases, nerve compression and disproportionate organs. Whereas, a "midget" is a condition where the person is simply short in height (under 58").

The major difference between dwarfs and midgets is that midget is a condition where a person is just short and dwarfism is a condition where a the person is short and also has disproportionate body parts. Also, the word dwarf is not considered offensive by their community while the word midget is offensive is considered offensive.

There really isn't a difference between the two. While "midget" used to be an accepted term for a person of short stature, it is now considered to be fairly offensive. Currently, "dwarf" is the more accepted and politically correct term. But both words refer to people with the same condition.

A dwarf is a person of small form with the abnormal bodily proportions while a midget is also small in form they are physically well proportioned. Both the midget and dwarf have genetic disorders that they will live with for the rest of their lives but can find happiness and fullfillment despite their medical condition.

Dwarf and midget are terms used to describe adult humans having very short height (less than 4 feet). The main difference between a dwarf and midget is, a dwarf has a disproportionate body where as a midget has a proportionate body, just like a normal human. Dwarf usually have big head and torso and small limbs.

A dwarf is an unusually small person whose bodily proportions are abnormals. A midget is an unusually small person whose bodily proportions are normal. So the difference lies in the way the body looks. They are both small people but one looks like an average person but in a small body. The other one looks disproportionate.
