Grasshoppers differ from crickets in many ways, but they are unique because they tend to have longer legs for hopping and do not make the same chirping noises that crickets are known to make at nighttime.
The major difference is there color Crickets are black and grasshoppers are green or brown. Crickets are the ones that you hear at night rubbing there legs together making that noise.
