It costs more to insure a vacant property than an occupied property. The actually dollar amount depends on the type of property, value of the property, construction type, the location, the security systems in place (lighting, alarms, cameras, guards, etc) and required coverage. Contact an agent for specifics.

It completely depends on the property (location, are natural features on it, is it in a flood zone). For a vacant acre lot in the suburbs, I pay $50/month.

Speak to an insurance agent. The rate will vary depending on the nature of the property (commercial or residential) as well as the location and security features.

Most insurance companies will not cover the vacant property. You would have to check with the state pool for coverage and most states go by what the tax value is of the property.

The price of an insurance policy for a vacant property varies depending on size, value and location. Typically you can expect the price to be double what a normal home owners property insurance would cost, due to the fact that the value is usually lower than you insurance it for.

It depends on the location and value of the property. It should be a lot less than if someone was livng at the location.
