The U. S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) suggests cooking fish to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Fish is done when it flakes easily under a fork and it's no longer translucent. The optimal temperature to enjoy various types of fish may vary (130-145 degrees Fahrenheit) according to individual preference for texture and taste.

The answer depends on your method of frying. Pan fried fish should be done over a medium heat. For deep fried fish, set the temperature to 350 degrees.

The Optimal temperature to fry fish is about 350 degree. First of all the oil used for cooking should be fried up to 375 degrees and then make it low while frying the fish.

If you have a fryer, set it to 350 degrees. If you are heating oil, use a quick-read thermometer. Add the fish slowly to allow the heat to remain as stable as possible while you are frying.

Frying your fish at 375 degrees will ensure golden brown fish that is moist on the inside. Your fish pieces will also float in the oil when they are ready.

I don't go by temperature - dip a slightly moist piece of bread into the heated oil or butter, and when it bubbles or foams, the oil should be hot enough. If it spatters, it's probably too hot.
