Ignition coils are used to step-up power to fire your car's spark plugs, and are typically quite durable. An ignition coil will most frequently fail if excessive heat is generated; usually as a result of excess load on the coils. Poor connections, improper grounding, or corrosion can also cause failure.

The coils of your car electrical system are old and crack that will cause your car to shut down and not turn on.
