You can safely trim protruding nose hairs by gently using a pair of grooming scissors to just trim the ends that are seen past the tip of your nose. Do not use tweezers, this may cause an infection. There are also nose hair trimmers available as safer alternative to scissors.

They have really good products out there that are mini trimmers. The can be inserted in the nose without the fear of cutting sensitive tissues. They are small enough to trim nose hairs.
