A good treatment would be to use aloe vera gel. The aloe has certain properties that will reduce swelling, reduce irritation and promote healing. You can also use cortisone cream which can be bought over the counter at any drug store. If you would rather not use these treatments you could also apply cold water and pat dry.

Use an after shave balm or apply home made remedies like a cold camomile tea bag, or paste made from fresh strawberries and sour cream. Use hydrocortisone cream very sparingly.

First, throw away your razors and buy new ones. Don't buy very expensive ones so you won't feel bad tossing them out after a month. To help with the rash, put some aloe vera cream or Bag Balm gel on it. Both of these are soothing and the Bag Balm is a mild antiseptic.
