The best way in my opinion is to go to investors business daily and look it up online, and buy a book that William O Neil has wriiten. He described it best for me in terms that made sense.

The best and most thorough way to learn how the stock market works is to read the series 7 book. This is the text that all registered brokers must read in order to become licensed.

I believe one of the best ways to learn is through the internet. There are valuable websites that contain tons of information about anything and everything. Learning about the stock market would be easy with all the information available on the internet.

By regularly visiting these sites and reading materials on them, anyone can quickly become saavy iabout stock market trading. A few of these include Jim Cramer's TheStreet. com, Morningstar. com, and Dividend. com, but AAII. com is best.

Create a theoretical stock portfolio. List several stocks and the prices you would have bought them at. Then track their performance over several months. Watch their performance. At the end of the year, determine the dividends that would have been paid and the gains or losses for that stock. You will then learn how much money made or lost.
