What is the best way to drain spaghetti?

Answer by  mstngpam (304)

Place a plastic or wire colander in the sink and pour in the cooked spaghetti to drain. Leaving the spaghetti in colander, turn on the hot water and rinse until water runs clean. Shake throughly and let the spaghetti set for a minute or so to insure all water is drained.

Draining water from spaghetti noodles is easiest accomplished by using a colander. You can use the plastic or metal varieties and place the colander in your sink. The best colanders can be used freestanding or by fitting over your sink so you can freely use both hands.
