You can use an over the counter leather cleaner. If that doesn't work try rubbing it with eucalyptus oil. Then using a damp cloth and a drop of gentle facial soap rub gently. No matter which way you try, make sure you use a good leather conditioner after to replace any natural oils.

Put leather on flat surface. Rub lightly adhesive portion with soft polish paper. Clean the same with soft cloth soaked in light soap or eucalyptus oil

The best way is to read the bottle of adhesive and follow the removal directions. Leather usually has a protective surface that can tolerate solvents if used properly.

There are many ways to do this, but only a few are recommended. My suggestion would be to call a leather manufacturer and consult an expert.
