Most luggage today is designed to be lightweight when it's empty. Carry-ons are subject to weight and size limits. Plan well and pack light to travel light.

You should look for a suitcase that has 4 wheels that turn instead of just 2. This will make walking with it a lot easier. I have found great suitcases at places like Ross and TJ Max.

To find a good lightweight suitcase, simply go to your local luggage store and see which fits your needs. Consider whether you'd like to carry it on or check it.

Oddly enough, the best thing I've found for airline travel as far as being lightweight is concerned is an ordinary duffel bag. They're cheap, weigh less than a pound and will usually survive anything from being bounced around in a cargo hold to getting tossed into overhead compartments. Hope that helps.
