The best MP3 player on the market is easily the Iphone. On top of being a great phone, it also has a lovely screen, excellent audio quality, and access to millions of applications. The accessories that you can purchase for it only enchance the experience. Plus you get instant access to Itunes, so you can download mp3s right to it.

The best on the market has to be assessed by ease of use and quality of playback. Ipod definitely excels in those categories, but is too costly. The sansa line of mp3 players has to be the best value for the money; they are inexpensive, last a long time, and are easy to set up and use.

The Philips GoGear Raga 4 GB (Silver). Very pleased with it, though not the latest model. Nice metal case, nice extras like FM and voice recording. Screen big enough for easy navigation, but without useless video feature. I'd prefer being able to take out batteries, but those days are over.

The 64gb iPod Touch is undoubtedly the best MP3 player on the market today, based collectively upon connectivity with iTunes, a slick and stylish design, a large HD for optimal storage, the ability to play games and use other applications, and the sturdy build of the product itself.
