The best Mario game for the Nintendo Gamecube would have to be Mario Party. It is great for people of all ages and it has a lot of different things you can do and play rather than just the game.

The best Mario game for the Gamecube is based on opinion and personal taste. However the most enjoyable one I have come across, storyline wise and play wise, is Super Mario Sunshine. If you prefer racing games, then it would be Mario Kart Double Dash.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is supposed to be really good unless you're not into Role Playing Games. Otherwise there is Super Mario Sunshine, or Luigi's Mansion.

In my oppinion I would have to say Luigis Mansion would be the best. The Mario series after a while starts to seem to similar. This game changed things up and added a haunted manision theme to the game.

Super Smash Brothers Melee is by far the best game on the Gamecube. It is very fun and addicting and has so many charecters which makes it really awesome and fun.
