For sealing foods for freezing, I LOVE my Food Saver!! It seals food and liquids in either air-tight bags which come in different sizes, and different size containers that can go straight from the freezer to the microwave.

There are a variety of food sealers now in the market and at the best of their purpose in maintaining the freshness of food. Across the board in terms of simplicity in handling while getting best results for household level, countertop vacuum food sealers and handheld vacuum food sealers are the best options.

The glade family has the best one I think. Its reasonable priced and is sold at your local groceries stores. I have had mine over a year and it works great.

To seal food in and use the food again I use Saran wrap or plastic wrap covering the food in a pot or bowl. For other foods I use small plastic bags that seal themselves.
