Godiva. Expensive but yum!

First time I tried Godiva chocolates, I opened the box, and a few ants were crawling around. I haven't been able to eat any ever since.  add a comment

See's Candies! (I think this is a California-based chocolatier. )

I second See's!  add a comment

There are much better chocolates than See's. Richart, for example, is a better fine chocolate.  add a comment

Milka. I don't think it's considered "gourmet" but their plain milk chocolate is velvety smooth. Soooo good.

As an opinion, the best chocolate is Ghirardelli. It does not get too stiff, and it tastes great with any other filling, like caramel or mint. If you are looking for a good chocolate gift to give, a bag of assorted Ghirardelli squares is a perfect gift.

Mmmmmm Ghiradelli caramel milk chocolate squares. I could eat a whole bag. This gets my vote!  add a comment

Since we're talking about best, we're basically restricting ourselves to the best gourmet chocolates. I vote for Lindt!

The best chocolate is made in Belgium. This is the richest and smoothest of all chocolates. Paying more for good chocolate is the way to go.
