The average lifespan is between 12-15 years old. Remember that the better you take care of your dog the longer he will live. Proper Veterinarian care and proper nutrition will expand the lifespan of your pet.

The average life span for a Golden Retriever is between 10 to 13 years. Naturally, the better the dog is cared for matters. If they are inside or outside pets matters with health, too. General health depends on diet and exercise, but exposure to illnesses is also a factor. Genetics can make animals prone to certain illnesses, too.

Dogs can live nearly to 8 - 10 years but the Retriever dogs will live for about 13 years. If the dog is maintained carefully by giving all the medical treatment at the correct time it can live for the specified period.

The average life span is 10-12 years. Thousands of golden retrievers are abandoned or turned over to local humane societies by their owners each year. Male goldens should be around 23 to 24 inches and weighs arround 65-75 pounds. Females should be 21 1/2-22 1/2 inches and weigh 55-65 pounds.

As every pet dogs Golden Retriever is also a very loyal animal. Its pretty huge in size, needs lot of attention towards its cleanliness. Needs to be cleaned, brushed and to be taught a good behaviours from the begining. These Golden Retriever on an average can live for about 12 to 14 years.
