A standard poodle (male and female) is 55 to 65 pounds and is 18 to 23 inches tall. The American Kennel Club includes a standard that no Standard Poodle can exceed 15 inches at the shoulder, but that is for the purposes of show. Other than height standards, the AKC standards for poodles are the same for all varieties.

They should be 15 inches or higher at the shoulders and weigh no less than 25 pounds. This is the breed standard but dogs that are not show quality may vary a bit.

A standard Poodle is usually around 15-17inches and height. They usually weigh from 45-70lbs, with the females being the lighter of the two. Poodles are great dogs to have around the home, though they do require a lot of attention!
