Purposive sampling is a form of nonrandom sampling in statistics in which a researcher picks who or what will be sampled. A good example occurs in political polling, where results are frequently reported as indicating samples of "likely voters" rather than all persons whom the polltakers questioned.

You can figure out the meaning by of it by its name. Purposive sampling is actually choosing people according to the purpose of the experiment you are carrying out at that time.
