A plethysmography test is a medical test that measures the systolic pressure. This is commonly done by placing blood pressue cuffs on different areas of the body to measure the pressure. This can also be used to measure the volume within a single organ, or within the entire human body.

Plethysmography is primarily a pulmonary function test. The test measures how much air in in your lungs when you take a deep breath in, and how much air is left in your lungs after exhaling. Plethysmography can also be performed on other areas of the body, such as an arm or leg, to determine the circulation in these limbs.
