Towing storage fee is usually applicable when a vehicle / shipment remains on the towing vehicle for more than a stipulated period. It may be charged on an hourly or in some cases daily basis. In some countries, it is also known as "detention Charges".It can be avoided if everything is planned well

Some places will charge you as much as $50 a night to store a vehicle on their lot once it has been towed. Most places do not want to store cars, so they charge a high rate in hopes that the owners will return quickly to reclaim their cars.
