They usually come out at night but depending on weather conditions, will come out during the day to feed. They never stay in the same den for very long. They are NOT rabie carriers, this is a myth. They ferociously protect their young. Being scavengers, they eat just about anything.

Raccoons are very protective of their young which causes them to be aggressive; also during mating season. Very sharp teeth make it dangerous to keep them as a house pet.

Raccoons are my favorite animal but I do not know much about their behaviors. However, I do know that raccoons can eat almost anything and are very quick learners. Once they find a place with a sustaining amout of food they will continue to raid at area.
