Like all cancers, it depends on how far along it is. It also matters where the tumor is in the colon. Depending on the location of the tumor you have on average a 60% chance of surviving for five years or more. If it has not progressed your chance of survival with proper treatment can be as high as 95%.

There is absolutely no correct answer to this question as many people have colon cancer and with the proper treatment, they live for many, many years. You need to determine which stage of colon cancer you have first.
