Jumila wine is a bold wine that is usually only preferred by experienced wine drinkers. This wine tastes like a very strong pinot noir and often leaves a bitter sweet aftertaste.

Wines from the Jumilla region are based on the Monastrell grape variety. They have a varied flavor profile that includes earth and mineral notes mixed with fruity overtones. They often develop into a complex mixture of matured fruit, coffee and oak spices after being barrel aged. Excellent quality rose wines are also produced in the region.
