English Ivy grows well in bright shade to deep shade. After it is established, it is easy to maintain. It can be rather drought tolerant, but it does benefit from regular watering and a general purpose balanced fertilizer a couple of times a year.

I have English ivy in my garden and i just leave it to grow, and it has grown well and spread just by leaving it be.

English ivy is a low-maintenance plant. As a houseplant, give it moderate to bright light, water the soil when the top inch of soil gets dry, and keep a consistent temperature.

Don't allow the plant to get too much sunlight. My english ivy did very well in complete shade. Do not overwater either. It really only needs to be watered once a week as long as soil does not completely dry out. It also needs plenty of space to expand.

English ivy basically takes care of itself. It can grow in shade and doesn't have many pest or other problems. These plants are good for erosion control and grows on slopes, and can handle feet traffic. Ivy will grow where grass doesn't, is drought tolerant, and used as a houseplant.

They are actually considered menacing plants. You have to be sure to manage the plant so that it does not over grow. They can be kept in doors but you have to make sure they are in cool environments to prosper.
