Sleep studies are pretty straight forward. They hook monitors to you all over your body, and have you spend the night at their facility. They monitor all you activity and determine your sleep pattern with the information gathered.

You will go to the sleep center in the evening. You'll be wired up to their monitoring equipment, as well as watched via camera. Then you go to sleep and they monitor you. You'll be given test results, including signs of seizure, sleep apnea, and breathing or heart beat irregularities.

A sleep study test often occurs at a major medical center or an affiliate office. You will be scheduled for an appointment and will go to the office to sleep. You often will be hooked up to several machines to evaluate your brain activity as well as your breathing to evaluate your sleep patterns. These results will determine your disorder.

They put you into a bed at the hospital. They then hook you up to a machine with all these little wires and you go to sleep as you would normally do in your home every night. The doctors stay up and monitor your sleep patterns and if something's wrong they treat it.
