Breastmilk or formula. Most doctors don't recommend starting infants on solid food until they are four to six months old. Baby cereal is usually recommended at this time.

Three months is not old enough to start baby food. Usually your baby will show signs of being ready between four and six months. Some signs are showing an interest, holding own head up, and making chewing motions. Very runny rice cereal is usually started first.

Your three month old should be eating baby cereal or baby jarred food. You can get these products at your local grocery store in the baby aile.

At this age a baby should still be on just breast milk or formula-too young for solids or even rice cereal.

Three month old children are generally not ready for baby food. Do not give solids to a child before at least 4 months of age, ideally age 6 months, until they can sit upright on their own. You can mix rice cereal with the baby's formula if the pediatrician has recommended it.

When your baby is still 3 months old, it should still be on formula. Once it can start eating baby food, Gerber is good for most babies. Just be sure it is getting the correct nutrients.

Breast-milk or formula. Really baby isn't ready for anything else until at least 4-6 months. They often have not developed the muscles necessary to swallow something more substantial. Once baby is ready, start with rice cereal mixed with breast-milk or formula. It should start as a pretty thin consistency.

At three months old, most babies are at the stage where they can start to eat soft foods, such as potatoes, but are not yet ready for solid foods. Some babies, however, can not handle these foods, and must still eat baby food. It all depends on the individuals growth.

Formula and breast milk are the recommended food for infants under 6 months. Playing with single ingredient food around 4 month if baby is really interested is usually okay.

A 3 month old can be eating a variety of foods and it is best to check with a doctor before you feed them anything. Some are still only drinking formula while some are on baby foods at this age.
