Inflammation of the insertion of muscle usually geared toward fibrosis or calcification. This is a situation that is usually only painful if the muscle involved is worked. I am assuming it can be corrected with surgery, and some people just learn to adjust to this situation and make the best of it.

Enthesitis is entheses (anywhere a bone connects with a tendon or ligament) inflammation. It could be caused by repetitive stress, severe injury, or potentially by autoimmune disease like psoriatic arthritis.

It is an inflammation where the muscles, tendons, or ligaments attach to bone. Treatments depend on what causes the inflammation, which could be stress on the contact point, and auto immune disease, or psoriatic arthritis.

This is a condition of inflammation that occurs in places where a bone meets a tendon or a ligament. It is particularly common in the heel of the foot. Some conditions that are considered arthritis are actually enthesitis.

This is and inflammation where the ligaments and tendons are attached to the bones. It is most common among people who have Reactive Arthritis. Enthesitis is also more common around the heels of the foot involving the Achilles Tendon. Your doctor can treat this with NSAIDs, methotrexate or TNF blockers depending on the cause.
