What is done to treat an impacted bowel?

My four month old was diagnosed with an impacted bowel and they have not told me what we are going to do to treat it.

Impacted bowel is when the food he or she eats can't leave the body. This matter has to leave somehow and some of the ways are medication to move the bowels, going inside through the usual way to loosen the mass, and going in through the side -- an operation -- to essentially give the impacted matter a c-section.

Antibiotic's is the best treatment given for impacted bowel, your child's bowel must be diluted with fluids, drip of glucose or saline must be given to your child. Only liquid foods must be given to the child. you must see a good Doctor for this. Bowel must be scanned if this persists again and again.

Get them to drink as much water as you can and eat bran andfibre rich foods. You can also try giving them a stool softener.

Impacted bowel is responsible for the low amount of food stuff in the bowel. By taking large amount of water food is helpful to out come of the bowel.
