Sense organs. (Eyes, tongue, tympanic membranes that feel vibrations.) Scales on the outside. Bones. Skeleton, teeth. They have a stomach, lungs, intestine, liver, heart, endocrine glands, kidneys, bladder, and of course their whole body is one big muscle. They use this to "constrict" or squeeze their pray by suffocating it.

The ball python is so named for its tendency to roll up in a ball when startled or frightened. Its anatomy is like that of any other snake. It has a heart/lungs, gullet/stomach/liver/gall bladder, kidneys, pancreas and intestines as well as reproductive organs. It has a skull, spine and ribs. Some pythons have the remnants of structures like pelvic bones.

Like all snakes, ball pythons are vertebrates which move through muscle contractions over the ribs. Ball pythons in particular tend to be stocky, have small heads and both sexes have anal spurs.

The outside integument consists of scales to resist abrasion. This snake has highly adapted sense organs. The teeth consist of rows instead of fangs to aid in swallowing whole prey.
