Mahjong is a card game that was developed way back in time. There are 40 cards in a deck that are numbered from 1 to 9 with all different suits, along with 4 flower cards. It's played with four people and it's like dominoes to americans or if related to cards, it's like rummy.

America Mahjong is a game that has had an American spin put on it. Mahjong comes from China and was brought to America in the early 1900's. Developed in 1930, American Mahjong is based on the Eastern variant. It is most popular with Jewish women and in 1937, an All American Mahjong team was formed.

Its a form of the Chinese derived Mah-Jong. The game itself still consists of all the tiles for matching to complete the game it simply changes the symbols from chinese to American numerals and symbols. The concept of the game is still the same no matter what version you play though.
