You play a tiebreaker when its 6-6. The tie break is scored 1,2,3 etc. It is the first to 7 points, win by two.

A tie breaker in tennis consists of alternately served points. The players play first to seven points, win by two. In high school tennis, the racket was spun heads or tails with the visiting player calling to determine who gets first service. A heads or tails coin tossed by the home player was sometimes used.

Generally tennis is played until a two point advantage after game or set point. There is an alternative to this scoring method sometimes employed to save time. In this case once deuce has been reached the player who winds the next point wins the game.
