What is a sure-fire way to get rid of the smell of pet urine in the carpet?

Nothing I've tried seems to work. The carpet is just two years old.

Baking soda normally works to get strong smells out of carpeting. Just pour a box of baking soda on the area that smells and let it set there for a couple hours and vacuum it up. If the smell has not completely gone away you can repeat the process until the smell is completely gone.

Vinegar is good way to remove pet urine odors, Dilute a cup of vinegar into a spray bottle filled with water. Then saturate area with mixture.Apply a dry cloth over the area for absorbtion.Test a hidden spot on the carpet first to make sure it doesn't cause color changes.

If it's a fresh accident on the carpet, dab up immediately and use lime powder. Try to get down to the padding too so it can absorb thoroughly. If its an old smell, pour vinegar in a bowl and place in the corner of the room for a few days.

Pet urine is truly a challange but it seems like time will take care of it. When my dog had accidents I would pour baking soda over the area every one in awhile and the smell did let up. Also there are carpet cleaners that are made for pet accidents.
