dogs are safe with 1mg of Benadryl per pound twice daily. Benadryl is used to allieviate allergies in dogs. It is safe for long term use. Consult your vet before beginning Benadryl or any other medication. Benadryl should not be used in dogs who have certian health conditions such as glaucoma.

The dosage recommended for a dose is half a milliliter for every kilogram. So a do weighing 10 kg, 5 ml should be given. A slightly smaller dosage is usually needed and produces less sedation. This dosage can be given 2-3 times a day with at least 8 hours between doses

Right, well that is not at all correct. I suppose in this case it doesn't matter how many milligrams per milliliter (assuming I'm using liquid) is in the medication? Think about it..................  add a comment

For dogs the rate of Benadryl is one milligram per pound of body weight. The tablets are twenty five milligrams each, so a twenty five pound dog would take one pill. It will cause noticeable drowsiness in your pet. Always watch your pet if you haven't given Benadryl prior.

This would depend on several factors. The age of the dog, the size of the dog, How much does the dog weight in Lbs. I wouldn't give a dog 2 pills if they are 10 lbs. My dog's are huge and I give them three. It really does depend on this information
