A reflexive pronoun is a pronoun that is preceded by the noun or pronoun that it is referring to in the same clause. Examples are: herself, himself, yourself, ourselves, oneself, myself, themselves, and itself. Notice that they all have "-self" or "-selves" after a pronoun, such as "your" and "my".

A reflexive pronoun is a word such as himself, myself, or yourself. Basically, it's any pronoun that refers back to the person, place, or thing in question. In the following sentences the reflexive pronouns are in caps. 1--Jason nominated HIMSELF for president. 2--The cat drove ITSELF crazy chasing the flashlight beam. 3--We'll find a way to get OURSELVES home.
