Mositure is causing the moss on the roof top. There is a leak in your roof resulting in the mositure to remain in place. Stop the leak.

To clean moss from your roof first clean any large debris from the roof and gutters. Use warm water and detergent to loosen and soften the moss. Then scrub down with a hard bristle brush. If moss is not gone then you may resort to a mild moss killer.
