Cornmeal is a good fungicide. There are two ways to use it: work in 2 lbs of cornmeal into the soil for every 100 sq. feet. You can also make a spray by soaking a cup of cornmeal in a gallon of water.

Orange and lemon rinds, cornmeal and vinegar are all good natural and easy to find substances that will protect tomato plants from fungi. They are used to make soil slightly acid, which kills fungi. The most effective solution is to buy an all-natural fungicide, available at any good gardening store.

Tomato plants are resistant to acidic conditions and actually prefer a very slight amount of acidity. Fungi generally don't do as well in acidic environments. You can exploit this diffrance by finding mild natural acids to apply in problem areas. I have heard of people using things from lemon juice to vinegar.

Various natural substances can be used. Among the substances that are useful are: citric acid, such as lemon juice, a liquid concoction of cayenne pepper and water, or the regular use of worm castings, worm tea, or vermicompost which will raise the natural defensive abilities of the plant in regards to fungi.

A great natural fungicide for tomato plants is cornmeal. It can either be tilled into the soil before planting or mixed with water and sprayed directly onto the plants that are susceptible to fungus.
