Baby powder or baking soda and water mixed together are supposed to be good for heat rashes. Diaper rash ointments are also good.

Once the problem, heat, is removed, soothe the remaining rash with an oatmeal bath. Put the oatmeal in a stocking, and run the bathwater over it.

If a heat rash has significant blistering, it should be examined by a doctor. Otherwise, keep the area clean, and apply gentle and intermittent cool compresses to help with pain.

Wash the area daily with lukewarm water and towel dry. Apply cornstarch to the affected area and reapply as needed.
