State your current energy usage, water consumption, and waste generation. Then list targets for what each of those values will be in one year and three years. List general ideas of how each of those targets will be met, such as utilizing distributed software to turn off PCs at night or recycling bins.

List all the forms of energy available in your area. Check with each one for busines credits or promotions. Prioritize by cost. Be sure to look at the cost of changeover or installation. Solar for example can be Very expensive to install and the break even may be years away.

This is dependent upon the business you are in. First go through all power bills for the amount of energy usage in the last three years, then break them into seasons and months. Go and research the average temperatures of the months of the bills. This will show you if you use more energy to heat or cool your facilty.

There are two important factors to assess. The first is conservation. This involves looking for ways that your business uses energy unnecessarily. For example, if you leave the lights on when no one is in the office, this is an obvious thing to change to improve conservation. next you want to look at efficiency of the energy you do use.

1. Determine your energy needs, both heating/cooling and electrical supply to manufacturing or computers. 2. Outline ways to ensure a reliable supply to both, whether batteries or onsite backup generators. 3. Determine ways to reduce energy consumption for item 1.
