I've used Panacure for all our dogs since my vet recommended it many years ago. Many supermarket wormers only treat for roundworm, but Panacure treats for a wide variety of parasites, and you can find it at your local Tractor Supply!

I use Sentinel as an all in one preventative treatment for our dogs, but I have heard good things about the Drontal Plus for deworming. It lists that it works for tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, etc. You don't mention how old your dog is, but you can use this medication on dogs three weeks of age & 2lbs.

Do not bother with over-the-counter worming medications. They are expensive and ineffective and in many cases, dangerous. A veterinarian needs to examine the stool to determine the specific type of worm infestation in order to properly treat it in a way that will not harm the dog but that will get rid of the parasites once and for all.

The one you get from your vet. There are over the counter medications available, but they can be difficult to dose based on weight.

The topical ones seem to be the quckest and easiest, such as frontline plus or advantage. They worm as well as take care of fleas. If your after a tablet just make sure they do all 4 types of worms roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tape worm.

While dewormers are sold in stores, such as Petsmart or Petco, it really is best to go to your vet to find a dewormer that is sure to work. Some dewormers only work on certain types of worms, and you may not know exactly what kind of worm your dog has. It's important to get this problem taken care of ASAP as worms can be very harmful to your dog.
