Password is a great game. You can actually have someone who is not playing, or who is giving the clues think of the secret words -- that way you can choose age appropriate words. Charades is always good too.

The game I really like that is appropriate for all ages is called Apples to Apples. It's not precisely a board game, but a card game where you try to match people, places and things with descriptions. It's all in good clean fun and will definitely help a younger child's vocabulary. It's also frequently hilarious!

Parchesi is an excellent board game for players of all ages. It requires few skills. If you can roll a die and count, you can play this engaging board game. another bonus is that it moves along quickly, which is nice for younger children with shorter attention spans.

Charades is great fun for a diverse group. You don't even need to buy anything... just have one person who is not playing make a list of categories to act out. I think this game works for the widest range of ages, and everyone will have fun.

The classic Monopoly board games are always quality for families with a wide age range. Although 3-4 year olds may not pick up on the game, older children enjoy the competition and educational value. Adults also have fun playing this game, as it has been in circulation for decades.
